Poem Reflection
A living piece from the World Poetry Hub library — written to be read, heard, shared, and remembered.
Taking a stroll
down memory lane,
I have to say—
I’ve tread a long way.
Life itself
has thrown me curves
where I had to weave
and swerve.
Surprisingly,
I’m still standing.
Yes—
I almost lost everything.
Luckily,
I didn’t cave in.
Ask the ex
and she might swear
I’m faking,
or broken,
or been broken—
it didn’t quite
register.
Mentally,
I was programming
like a programmer,
foreseeing and planning
all that’s to come.
Call it
a leap of faith—
a “take care of yourself”
moment.
Everything the mind can see
stayed vividly clear,
rooted like a tree,
branching out,
even through the storm.
Once the truth
is laid bare,
the masses
will be wowed.
There was never
a loss at all—
just fate,
rebirth,
and the rise
of a new empire.
